The Kensington Care Home provides residential and social care services to elderly Service Users, age 65 and over. The home is registered for 35 residents and specialises in dementia as well as delivery of person-centred approach in supporting all residents with managing specific care needs and deteriorating health conditions. The home is located in coastal town of Immingham, walking distance to the local amenities and public transport. The rooms are located on the ground floor which provides greater independence and control to Service Users that have difficulties with mobilising from A to B, managing stairs and assists them in maintaining their orientation skills, etc.

The home is known for organising social activities and events, for example, themed parties and entertainment like singing and dancing; ball games; chair exercises, bingo, etc. The home’s focus is to deliver specific activities, tailored to each person to engage and empower them to live their life to the best of their abilities. The kitchen staff cook meals according to dietary requirements and food choices can be made on the same day. The home offers free parking and accessible, safe garden area for all residents. There is high number of rooms that have en-suites and all shared communal bathrooms are spacious. The home offers two lounges and a separate dining facility and the individual bedrooms are bright and sunny. The home also schedules regular in-house podiatry, hairdresser, visits and pet therapy. The home prides itself to delivery excellent 24-hour care, where an emergency call alarm is available for all residents to provide additional support as and when necessary. The staff team offers fantastic mixture of skills, with strong management team, comprising of registered manager, deputy manager and seniors (some have nursing degree and specialise in pressure care). All staff have mandatory training and bespoke training is identified when a specific need arises within the provision of immediate care.
