                    Description

Linkage Care Services was established to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities as they moved into our residential educational service and for some to continue after their college course, to establish their independence from carers/families. Fundamental to our provision is a continuing focus upon enabling service users to maximise their personal autonomy and independence skills. This includes the provision of a variety of residential accommodation and vocational occupational and recreational activities, further enhanced with services provided by our Employment Department. Opportunities to access external resources are maximised as part of our social inclusion policy.
Individuals using the service will all have some degree of learning disability along with other conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties, epilepsy, Tourette’s Syndrome, Downs Syndrome, physical disabilities or other associated disabilities including mental health.
